Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident in Penrith today.
Ambulance paramedics and police were called to a walkway near Henry Street to reports of a person unconscious.
The woman was stabilised and is believed to have been transported to hospital with unknown injuries.
Police established a crime scene and specialist forensic officers conducted a canvass of the area collecting evidence and taking pictures.
