Four men and a teenage boy have been arrested in relation to the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl at a party earlier this year.

The alleged incident was not reported to police but officers stumbled across disturbing footage as part of another investigation.

In May, police seized a go-pro camera as part of a police operation targeting graffiti offences. As part of that operation, they found a video depicting multiple sexual assaults of a teenage girl by a number of male offenders.

Police will allege up to eight males were in the room at the time of the assaults, with a number of them sexually assaulting the girl.

The matter was referred to State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad and detectives were able to determine the assaults took place at a party in St Clair in May this year.

Police have identified the teenage girl and spoken with her.

It is understood the girl was unconscious during the ordeal and she did not recall much about the incident. It is understood the video lasts some 16 minutes.
