A man was stabbed to death at a St Clair construction site this week after an argument with a co-worker turned deadly.
Following reports of a dispute between workers at a construction site at around 7.20am on Monday, emergency services attended an address in Bode Place.
There, they found a 54-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds and despite attempts to revive him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just two hours after emergency services had been called to the scene, a man presented himself to Campsie Police Station in relation to the incident.
The 41-year-old was charged with murder late Tuesday night.
“Early indications suggest there has been some sort of argument between the two gentlemen which we believe has lead to this stabbing,” said Acting Inspector John Turner, St Marys LAC.
“Any level of violence is concerning but certainly any violence that leads to the death of another human being is very concerning.”
St Marys police and the Homicide Squad set up a crime scene and are still investigating the incident.
“At this stage we are only early in to the inquiry. We haven’t established a motive as yet but we are looking into the incident,” Acting Inspector Turner said.
“We believe there were witnesses. If there are people out there who can assist us, they are quite welcome to call our Crime Stoppers number 1800 333 000.”
