Driver freed from truck following serious Mulgoa crash

A person has been freed from a serious truck crash at Mulgoa this afternoon.

Firefighters were forced to cut one of the vehicles apart after the person became heavily pinned following the crash. The person is now on their way to hospital.

It is understood the other driver suffered only minor injuries.

The incident happened on Mulgoa Road at St Thomas Road earlier this afternoon.

Mulgoa Road was closed in both directions, but has since re-opened.

Paramedics were also on scene at the crash, working to stabilise the trapped person. A helicopter also landed nearby.

Police are on scene investigating the cause of the crash.
