Organisers of the 2025 Australian Indoor Skydiving Championships have confirmed the event will feature its largest-ever prize pool, with over $20,000 in cash to be awarded across every competitive division.
Now in its ninth year, the Australian Indoor Skydiving Championships have become the pinnacle event for the sport nationally, attracting elite athletes, first-time competitors and growing crowds year after year.
“This year’s prize pool is about more than numbers, it’s a signal of how far the sport has come,” said Holly Jaadla, Entertainment Marketing Manager at XRGroup.
“We’re building an event that rewards talent, welcomes new flyers, and captures the energy that makes indoor skydiving so unique.”
While final allocations will be determined by registration numbers, cash prizes will be awarded to first-place teams in all categories, including juniors. More advanced categories will be eligible for higher-value prizes, with additional rewards also planned for second and third placements.

This expanded prize offering has been made possible thanks to the support of Platinum Sponsor Public Safety Training and Response Group, a nationally recognised leader in emergency training and response. The sponsorship aims to boost participation and support athlete development across the sport.
“Each year this event grows in scale and energy and 2025 is shaping up to be our most exciting yet,” Jaadla said.
“The level of talent coming through, especially in the junior and All Abilities categories, is incredible. It’s a real sign of where the sport is headed.”
The announcement kicks off a season of activity as organisers prepare to welcome athletes, fans and first-time spectators to Penrith in August.
The 2025 Championships will be held on August 8–10 at iFLY Downunder in Penrith, home to the largest indoor skydiving wind tunnel in the Southern Hemisphere.
The event is free for spectators and expected to attract over 100 teams across disciplines including Formation Skydiving, Vertical Formation, Dynamic, Freestyle, and the inclusive All Abilities category.
