RIP Jeanswest.
53 years after it began operating in Western Australia, the company today confirmed it would close all of its physical stores.
Jeanswest has a location in Westfield Penrith.
The brand’s parent company, Harbour Guidance, has appointed administrators to restructure the business.
All 90 physical stores will close with the fate of the online business unknown.
“The owners have done everything they can to keep Jeanswest going, but market conditions mean sustaining brick-and-mortar stores is not viable and unlikely to improve,” Administrator Lindsay Bainbridge said.
It is not known when the store closures will take place.
