A woman found dead inside the Pullman Hotel in Penrith yesterday afternoon has been named.
The Daily Telegraph reports the woman is Shirley So.
A man, who the Telegraph has named as Darren John Berry, is under police guard after the pair were found in a room of the luxury hotel in the Panthers precinct yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the Pullman Hotel on Mulgoa Road about 1.10pm (Sunday, November 10), after the discovery of the woman’s body, in the same room as the man suffering cuts to his arms.
It is understood the pair had been in a relationship.
The man – believed to be in his 50s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
Nine News reported the man’s injuries were self-inflicted.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene, with inquiries to be conducted by PAC detectives, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
