Troy Dodds hosts our live blog of the 2024 Dally M Awards, thanks to Gourmet Meat Company. Join us for a night of footy, fun and of course all the details of the award winners…
As Jahrome Hughes delivers his speech, that’s it for us tonight!
We hope you’ve had some fun reading along and enjoyed the Dally M Awards.
Thanks again to our sponsor Gourmet Meat Co.
Enjoy your Grand Final Week.
A reminder that our Grand Final commemorative print edition is out tomorrow. Make sure you get your hands on it!
Not the most successful night for Penrith, not that we thought there would be many winners. Isaah Yeo and Brian To’o did land in the Team of the Year though.
A tremendous honour for Jahrome Hughes, named the game’s best player in a cliffhanger finish.
Let’s hope this is where the honours stop though!
NRL DALLY M PLAYER OF THE YEAR
It’s Jahrome Hughes, as expected. The Storm fullback takes home rugby league’s greatest honour. James Tedesco finishes second, just one point behind.
A tight finish, but Hughes gets it!
DALLY M NRLW PLAYER OF THE WINNER
Olivia Kernick from the Sydney Roosters

I almost forgot about the actual Dally M count. It’s back! Vonnie and Cooper are back on stage.
Nicho Hynes wins the Ken Stephen Medal for his work in the community.
There’s no commercial breaks at the Dally Ms an I could do with a Tim Tam.
Kimberley Hunt wins the Veronica White Medal for her community efforts.
He’s the understudy to a champion, and Brad Schneider certainly knows what his role is this Sunday. Here’s my chat with him from yesterday.
Over to the Grand Final for a moment! Our journalist Emily Chate caught up with Mitch Kenny yesterday. Here’s the yarn…
A sad moment now at the Dally M Awards, with the In Memoriam now being presented.
Gees this has only been going for an hour. At this stage it feels like it probably could have been an email.
Jack Bostock wins the NRL Rookie of the Year after an outstanding season at Redcliffe.
It’s not a most improved award mate.
Cameron Ciraldo should have been awarded the coach of the year.
I mean last year the Dogs were a bunch of jabronis, this season they made the semis.

Kasey Reh from the Dragons is the NRLW Rookie of the Year.
Panthers legend Greg Alexander is now on stage to present the Rookie of the Year.
Craig Bellamy pays tribute to the Panthers, calling the achievements of the last three years “unbelievable”.
How interesting that the Coach of the Year went to Bellamy this year (and deservedly so) but not to Ivan Cleary last year despite winning the Minor Premiership and guiding Penrith to a fourth Grand Final.
Anyway, well done Craig.
Ivan Cleary (who isn’t at the Dally M Awards tonight) misses out on Coach of the Year.
It goes to his Grand Final opponent on Sunday, Craig Bellamy.
Scott Prince from the Broncos wins NRLW Coach of the Year.
