There’s been incredible scenes in Paris after Noemie Fox took home Gold in the women’s kayak cross event at the Olympics.
The 27-year-old Leonay paddler scored a victory in the quarter final before producing a stunning comeback to win her semi.
She then started well in the Final and showed grit, determination and a difficult composure in the most frantic version of the sport to cruise home for Gold.

Angele Hug of France finished with Silver, while Great Britain’s Kim Woods got the Bronze medal.
Fox’s father Richard declared in commentary on Channel Nine: “Oh my goodness! Oh my god! Oh my god!”
Sister Jess, already a double Gold medal winner at these games, jumped into the water to celebrate.
“It’s just incredible what Noemie did today and to make through each round with such composure,” Jess told Nine.
“I’m so proud of her.”
The Fox sisters will return home to Australia having won all three medals on offer in the women’s paddling at the Games – a remarkable feat.
