Police launch appeal to find missing teen

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Cambridge Park.

Starleigh Bates, aged 13, was last seen at Cambridge Park, about 6am on Friday, July 26.

When she failed to return home and was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

“Police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age,” Police said in a statement.

“Starleigh is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 157cm tall, of medium build, with dyed brown hair.

“She was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants.”

She is known to frequent the Cambridge Park, Weston and Newcastle areas.

It is understood that the teenager may have been spotted in the vicinity of Penrith Railway Station at about 6pm last night.

Anyone with information into Starleigh’s whereabouts is urged to call Nepean Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
