21-year-old charged with murder after Kingswood stabbing

Police have this morning charged a 21-year-old man with murder after he allegedly fatally stabbed his partner at Kingswood yesterday.

The 21-year-old woman died despite the best efforts of paramedics, who were called to a unit block on the Great Western Highway about 1.40pm yesterday afternoon.

She had suffered two stab wounds to the chest.

By 7.10pm last night, Police had arrested a 21-year-old man – believed to be the woman’s partner – at a premises on Derby Street in Penrith.

He was questioned overnight and has this morning been charged with ‘murder – DV’.

He has been refused bail and is due to front Penrith Local Court later today.
