Penrith Oztag managers Jamie and Melinda Howard will bring the curtain down on a 15-year reign in charge of the sport in Penrith.

Jamie said it’s been a terrific ride but the time was right to move on.

“Thank you to all the players and supporters of Penrith Oztag for all the great times over the past 15 years,” he said.

“You have all contributed to the success of Penrith Oztag and its growth into one of the best Oztag clubs around.

“For us, it has been a terrific ride with many great memories that we will cherish forever. We have made lifelong friends and it will be sad in some ways to finish up. But the time has come.”

Penrith OzTag has grown significantly over the years and the Howards have navigated all of the challenges along the way – most notably the weather, which has often been unkind.

“Everyone’s contribution has been invaluable,” Jamie said.

“Officials, referees, players, coaches, the list goes on. A club does not become as successful as ours without everyone rowing in the same direction, so thank you all.”

Paul and Sarah Labua along with Jarrod Mostowik and Winnie Henry will be taking over the running of Penrith Oztag.
