Penrith City Council has rejected a bid by a St Marys bar to open until 3.30am on weekends.

Kulture Bar on Queen Street submitted a Development Application late last year to extend their opening hours to 3.30am on Friday and Saturday nights.

They currently open until 2am and is not open on weekdays.

“Kulture Bar has been phenomenally successful with operating till approved 2am on weekend nights with zero incident[s] recorded and will continue to maintain this record,” the Development Application said.

But Council has rejected the application, refusing the proposal this week.
