Police circle in on alleged donut thief

Police have charged a Penrith woman following the alleged theft of a donut truck last month.

About 3.30am Wednesday, November 29 police were called to a service station on Pennant Hills Road, Carlingford, following reports a truck had been stolen.

Officers attached The Hill Police Area Command arrived and were told an unknown woman allegedly stole a truck filled with donuts before driving away.

Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries police located the vehicle abandoned at a carpark in Parramatta on Friday, December 8 2023. The donuts were destroyed.

About 11am today, officers attached to Police Transport Command arrested a 28-year-old woman St Marys Railway Station.

She was taken to Penrith Police Station where she was charged with ‘take and drive conveyance without consent of owner’, ‘drive motor vehicle during disqualification period’ and ‘travel or attempt travel without valid ticket’.

The woman was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court today.
