Dylan Edwards will make his Kangaroos debut after being named on the wing for Saturday night’s clash against Samoa.

Edwards – the 2022 Clive Churchill Medal winner – will become Kangaroo 847.

The Penrith fullback will be joined by teammates Liam Martin and Isaah Yeo in the starting side for Saturday night’s clash.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Kotoni Staggs and Selwyn Cobby will also make their debuts.

“The opportunity has come up for them to put the green and gold jersey on and I’ve got no doubt they’ll all play really well for their country,” Meninga said.

“You can tell from their actions that they’re excited about making their own mark at this level, while learning from some of the established players in the team.

“They’re all great young men and talented players, and I’m confident you will see the best of them on Saturday.”

Meantime, Izack Tago, Brian To’o, Stephen Crichton and Spencer Leniu have all been named for Samoa.

Australia and Samoa play at QLD Country Bank Stadium on Saturday, October 14 at 8.10pm.
