Police issue appeal after shots fired into Penrith home

An investigation is underway after shots were fired into a home in Penrith this morning.

About 1.10am today, officers from Nepean Police Area Command responded to reports of shots having been fired into a home on Mountain View Crescent, Penrith.

Officers have been informed that a car was seen to drive away from the location immediately after the shooting.

A crime scene was established, and the area examined by specialist police.

There were no reports of injuries.

As inquiries continue police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time with any available dashcam to contact Penrith Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
