A police officer has been charged following an internal investigation into alleged financial misconduct.
In April 2022, officers from the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation into reports of financial misconduct.
Following extensive inquiries, a 55-year-old woman was issued a Court Attendance Notice for misconduct in public office in St Marys today, Tuesday, November 29.
The senior constable – who is attached to a command in the North West Metropolitan Region – is due to appear at Penrith Local Court on Thursday, December 8.
The officer has been suspended without pay.
