A man has died after being hit by a ute in St Marys today.
About 1pm on Saturday, December 24, emergency services were called to Monfarville Street and found a man, believed to be in his 70s, with critical head injuries.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.
The driver of the ute – a 58-year-old man – was not injured and taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
