The Eels are outsiders for their Grand Final clash with Penrith and plenty of Sportsbet punters are behind the underdogs.

Parramatta is $3.00 to beat the Panthers ($1.39), but the Eels hold almost twice the number of bets.

The Eels opened the season at $13 and their biggest price was $23.

Penrith started the season as the $5.50 favourites to defend their title from 2021. The Panther’s longest price was $6.00 and they have been turnover leaders throughout the season.

“Parramatta have taken the long route to get to the Grand Final having lost to Penrith in the first week of the finals. There’s no doubt the Panthers have been the best team in the NRL this season and are deserved favourites but anything can happen in Grand Finals and our punters are getting right behind the Eels to cause an upset,” said Sportsbet’s Sean Ormerod.
