A host of COVID-19 restrictions will be eased tomorrow and next week, the Premier has confirmed.
From tomorrow, the two square metre density limit on hospitality venues will be removed and QR check-ins will only be required for nightclubs and music festivals with over 1000 people.
Singing and dancing will be permitted in venues again from tomorrow, and at music festivals from February 25.
The suggestion that people work from home will also be removed from tomorrow, and will be up to an employer’s discretion.
From February 25, masks will only be mandated on public transport and high risk settings like hospitals and aged care settings.
Masks won’t be required in offices, shopping centres or general indoor locations.
“Masks will continue to be encouraged in indoor settings where you can’t maintain a safe distance from others,” Mr Perrottet said.
“These changes are measured and proportionate to the circumstances we find ourselves in.”
