Agnes Banks Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash

A crime scene has been established following a fatal two-vehicle crash in Agnes Banks.

About 3.50pm today, Monday, December 13, emergency services were called to Castlereagh Road, Agnes Banks, following reports a Holden Commodore and a Nissan utility with a trailer had collided.

The driver of the Holden – a man believed to be aged in his 40s – died at the scene.

The sole passenger of the Holden – a 10-year-old boy – was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan – a man believed to be in his 20’s – was also taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Castlereagh Road is closed, and local traffic diversions are in place. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and check www.livetraffic.com for updates.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact police immediately.

A report will now be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
