Three men charged for drug manufacture and supply

Raptor Squad investigators have charged a further three men as investigations continue into the manufacture and supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney.

As part of ongoing targeting and disruption of the illicit activities of criminal networks, officers from the Raptor Squad executed a search warrant at a home at Werrington Downs and arrested a 39-year-old man on Thursday, May 20.

Later that day, three crime scene warrants were executed at storage sheds at St Marys, where police seized a loaded handgun, knuckle dusters and prescription medications, as well as vehicles and vessels with a combined value of more than $300,000.

Investigators uncovered a clandestine laboratory within one of the storage sheds and seized 25kg of alprazolam (Xanax) tablets and about 1.1kg of alprazolam powder, with a combined estimated potential street value of $300,000.

The man – who is a former Bandidos OMCG member – was charged with 15 offences and remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, Raptor Squad investigators executed four search warrants at homes at Londonderry, Glossodia, Hebersham and Werrington Downs from 6am today, Thursday, June 17.

During the searches, police seized ammunition, steroids, cannabis leaf and prescription medication.

A 56-year-old man was arrested at Londonderry and taken to Penrith Police Station, where he was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), three counts of possess drug manufacture apparatus make prohibited drug, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

A 39-year-old man was arrested at Werrington Downs and taken to Penrith Police Station, where he was charged with possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, five counts of possess prohibited drug and cultivate prohibited plant.

Both men were refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today, Thursday, June 17.

A 48-year-old man was arrested at Hebersham and taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where he was charged with possess prohibited drug and possess/attempt to, anabolic or androgenic steroidal agent.

He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court on Monday, June 28.

Investigations into are continuing.
