A man will face court today after being charged over alleged threatening content posted online and possession of replica assault rifles.

On Tuesday, November 10 the NSW Police Force received information from INTERPOL in relation to concerning online content, which was believed to have been posted by a person in NSW.

About 11am that day, officers from Nepean Police Area Command attended a home at Cambridge Park, and spoke with the 31-year-old male resident.

During a search of the man’s home, police seized two AR-15 gel-blasters with ammunition and a mobile phone, which will undergo forensic examination.

The man was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station, where he was charged with four counts of ‘use carriage service to menace, harass or cause offense’, and two counts of ‘possess unauthorised prohibited firearm’.

He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear in Penrith Local Court today.
