Police bust man with stolen toilet paper from railway station

A toilet paper thief has been charged after he was caught stealing supplies from a public toilet at Kingswood Railway Station.

About 10.25am on Friday, July 17 a 44-year-old Doonside man attended the station and entered a toilet block.

It is alleged the man forced open a toilet roll holder and removed a large roll, placing it in his backpack.

A short time later Police were patrolling the railway station and sighted the man who was smoking.

He has been stopped and spoken to.

Checks were made which revealed the man was wanted on another matter and he was subsequently arrested.

During a search of his bag police discovered the toilet paper.

Inquiries with railway staff revealed that the toilet paper was stolen.

The toilet roll was returned and the man was charged with larceny.

He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court at a later date.
