A seventh resident of Newmarch House nursing home at Caddens has passed away after being diagnosed with Coronavirus.

The 89-year-old woman passed away last night.

There’s also been one additional staff member at Newmarch House diagnosed with the virus.

54 people including 20 staff and 34 residents have been diagnosed with Coronavirus.

The latest death comes as NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announces a slight easing of restrictions from this Friday.

From May 1, two adults will be able to visit friends or family in another household, along with any children.

Ms Berejiklian also encouraged more retail activity, as long as stores were adhering to social distancing rules.
