A woman has been taken to hospital in a stable condition after her vehicle collided with another car at the intersection of The Driftway and Londonderry Road in Londonderry earlier today.

The 28-year-old has been transported to Westmead Hospital after receiving treatment from CareFlight and NSW Ambulance Paramedics at the scene.

“CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly after 4.00pm and landed in a paddock near the scene of the incident,” a CareFlight spokesperson said.

“NSW Police escorted CareFlight’s aeromedical crew to the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment to the woman who was trapped in her vehicle.

“Working with NSW Ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue, CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic worked to extricate the woman from her car. She sustained minor injuries to her body and was assessed by CareFlight’s aeromedical team at the scene of the incident.”

The CareFlight and NSW Ambulance critical care team provided ongoing treatment as the woman was transported by road to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
