Fire crews appear to be getting on top of a fire that is currently burning in Cranebrook and Londonderry.

The fire on Smeeton Road is currently at Watch and Act level but at one stage escalated to Emergency Level.

The blaze is moving in an easterly direction and there are fears it was deliberately lit.

Multiple RFS crews, as well as water bombing aircraft, are on scene in a desperate attempt to bring the fire under control.

There are no reports of any injury, however there are unconfirmed reports some property may have been impacted.
