Police have seized a machete, MDMA and Viagra when a car was stopped and searched at Werrington overnight.

Officers attached to the Police Transport Command’s North West Transport Action Group were patrolling the Western Line as part of Operation PTC Colossus about 6pm yesterday, when they stopped a Holden Commodore in Victoria Street.

When the driver and vehicle were searched officers seized a machete as well as MDMA, Viagra and almost $500 cash.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with ‘supply prohibited drug’, ‘deal with proceeds of crime’, ‘possess prohibited weapon’, and ‘goods in custody’.

The man was released on strict conditional bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on Tuesday.
