Penrith will decide on Monday whether or not they’ll fight a charge levelled at forward Viliame Kikau out of last night’s win over St George-Illawarra.
Kikau was sin-binned for the shoulder charge incident involving Dragons halfback Darren Nicholls.
He faces a week out of he takes an early guilty plea or two weeks if he fights the charge and loses.
Either way Kikau is almost certain to miss next Sunday’s blockbuster against Canberra at Panthers Stadium, unless he rolls the dice and beats the charge.
Panthers legend Ryan Girdler was surprised at the charge.
“I thought it as over the top that he got sin-binned,” Girlder told Triple M.
He said he thought the charge was “ridiculously excessive”.
