Shots fired into Cambridge Park home


An investigation is underway following a shooting that occurred in Cambridge Park last night.

Police were called to Michelle Avenue at about 9.15pm on Thursday, March 22, following reports of shots fired.

On arrival, a woman who was inside the home at the time, told officers a man exited a vehicle and walked towards the house and fired several shots, before fleeing the scene.

The woman was not injured during the incident.

A crime scene was established by officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command after a number of projectile fragments and damage to the home where located.

They will be examined by forensic specialists.

A short time later, at about 9.30pm, police were alerted to a vehicle fire on Oakland Parade, Werrington Downs.

Inquiries are underway to establish if the incidents are linked.

Officers have commenced an investigation, however it is believed the shooting is targeted.
