Man killed in horror crash

A man has been tragically killed in a horror crash between two trucks and a car at Erskine Park this evening.

Emergency services say they were called to Roper Road about 6.30pm after receiving reports of the crash.

The male driver of the car died at the scene. The truck drivers were not injured and will undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.

Their ages are not yet known.

Police from St Marys Local Area Command are investigating the crash and appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Roper Road is currently closed between the M4 and Carlisle Avenuue while investigations into the crash continue.

Southbound motorists on Roper Road are being diverted into Carlisle Avenue and then the Great Western Highway. Northbound motorists on Roper Road are being diverted onto the M4.

The westbound off-ramp from the M4 to Roper Road is also closed.

Additionally, Route 775 and 776 buses are delayed and are using Bennett Road and Explorers Way instead of Roper Road as a result of the accident. Three bus stops are being missed. Route 770, 771 and 774 buses are also experiencing delays.
