Parents who are hoping their kids grow up to be musical virtuosos can inspire and nurture their minds with ‘Babies Proms: The Four Seasons’.

This high quality children’s event will bring stunning classical music to the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre on Friday, October 4.

Presented by CDP Productions and the Sydney Opera House, this production unites some of the city’s best musicians for a concert that will introduce children to classical music.

The Four Seasons is Vivaldi’s best-known and most beloved work, and is also one of the most popular pieces of Baroque music to have ever been written.

This beautiful concert promises to create a rich musical experience that weaves the most integral moments from The Four Seasons into a physical, visual and musical journey that travels through the seasons and sounds that Vivaldi used to represent them.

Performed live by an actor and a talented ensemble of musicians, ‘Babies Proms: The Four Seasons’ is an excellent introduction to the world of music and is sure to entertain opera lovers and novices alike.

The event will also allow children to get involved, with kids aged two to five years given the special opportunity to meet the musicians and learn about the instruments and their unique sounds, from the silvery pizzicato notes of winter to the dramatic movement of the summer thunderstorm.

While ‘Babies Proms: The Four Seasons’ is sure to entertain children, it is also great cultural experience for parents.

This production combines great, emotive storytelling and top notch instrumental music to create a delightful concert that honours the best of Vivaldi’s classical music.
