Woman charged over break and enter

A woman will appear at court later this week after being arrested and charged in relation to an aggravated break and enter at South Penrith in May.

About 11.50pm on Monday, May 6, two men armed with a handgun and an electronic stun device allegedly forced entry to a granny flat in Upton Street, South Penrith, and assaulted one occupant and threatened another.

A third man and a woman allegedly waited in a car outside.

The Robbery and Serious Crime Squad has been investigating the incident and arrested a 31-year-old woman at Oyster Bay.

Search warrants were conducted at her Oyster Bay home and another address at Kirrawee where a number of items were seized.

The woman was charged with being an accessory before the fact to special aggravated break and enter and commit indictable offence; and participate in a criminal group.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday, August 15.

She is the fourth person to be charged over the incident, with two men and a woman already before the court.

Detectives anticipate making further arrests.
