Man stabbed in Penrith

A crime scene has been established following a stabbing at Penrith.

About 1.30am today, police from Penrith Local Area Command attended Castlereagh Road, following reports a man had been stabbed.

|Upon arrival police located a man, believed to be in his 20s, with two stab wounds to his chest area.

He has been taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.

A crime scene has been established which will be examined by forensic specialists.

Police are currently trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
