The first incident is alleged to have occurred shortly before 11.45pm on Tuesday, April 3.

Police will allege a 30-year-old man answered a knock at the front door of his Melbourne Street home, when he was set upon by two men and stabbed in the chest.

The second incident occurred about 9am on Thursday, May 31, where a man suffered stab wounds to his neck while inside his Saddington Street home in St Marys.

Detectives from St Marys Local Area Command yesterday attended a home in Putland Street, St Marys, where they arrested a 35-year-old man.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with special aggravated break and enter, reckless wounding and wound with intent.

He was refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court today.
