A girl who was taken to hospital following a horse fall yesterday has been released and is at home, where she will make a full recovery.
Ambulance paramedics called the CareFlight trauma team just before 5pm yesterday after the seven-year-old fell off a horse she was riding at Londonderry. The helicopter landed in an adjacent paddock and transported the girl to hospital.
The girl was initially treated at the scene but was taken to hospital once she was considered stable.
The Weekender was told this morning that her injuries were not serious and that the girl was going to be fine.
