Trains travelling in both directions remain suspended on both the Blue Mountains Line and Western Line between Penrith and Blacktown due to a minor derailment of a train at St Marys.

A limited replacement bus service is now in operation transporting passengers between Penrith and Blacktown.

Additionally, rail passengers are able to use their train ticket to catch a Westbus service between Mount Druitt and Penrith or a Busways service between St Marys and Blacktown.

Alternatively, passengers can make alternative travel arrangements to Blacktown were services to the city resume.

Passengers wishing to access the Blue Mountains can make alternative travel arrangements to Penrith to catch a train to the mountains.

There is no forecast available as to when train services will resume.

All resources have been deployed to minimise further delays to passengers
