Man stabbed at Kingswood

Police from St Marys Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing at Kingswood this morning.

About 12.30am today, police attended Santley Crescent following reports a man had been stabbed.

Upon arrival a 34-year-old man was located in an apartment block car park with stab wounds to his thigh.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. He is being treated for the wounds to his leg and a fractured nose.

A number of witnesses informed police they had heard an argument inside a unit at the complex shortly before the man was located in the car park.

Police gained entry to the unit and located a knife they believe may have been used during the incident.

A crime scene was established and examined by forensic specialists.

Investigations are continuing.
