Police investigate women's death

Police are appealing to the public for information following the discovery of a woman’s body in St Marys last month.

 

About 9.30am on Thursday, February 2, police discovered the body of 47-year-old Rajeshwari Kumar in her Colyton home.

 

Inquiries deemed the death to be suspicious.

 

Subsequently, police attached to St Marys Local Area Command with the assistance of State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, established Strike Force Wingfield to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.

 

Investigators are appealing to the public for information about Mrs Kumar’s last known movements.

 

Mrs Kumar was last seen shopping at a supermarket on The Great Western Highway cross of Princess Mary Street, St Marys, between 11am and 11.30am on Wednesday, February 1.

 

At the time she was wearing dark green pants and an orange, long-sleeved top. She is further described as being of Indian appearance with a dark complexion and having black, medium-length hair. She left the area in a 1994 white Toyota Camry.
