Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in North St Marys.
About 10.10am yesterday, a man entered a supermarket on Parklawn Place, North St Marys, and threatened a 36-year-old staff member with a firearm.
The alleged offender ran from the store after obtaining an amount of cash.
At the time there were two girls, aged six and four, within the store.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident and no shots fired.
Police were alerted to the incident and began making inquiries. Investigators wish to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being aged in his early to mid 20s, about 190cm tall and of thin build. At the time he was wearing sunglasses, a black hat and a black plastic bag over his head.
