Major delays on rail network

Train services have been suspended between Penrith and St Marys on the Blue Mountains Line and Western Line due to a fatality at Werrington.

Bus companies are currently in the process of being contacted to operate a replacement service between Penrith and St Marys until train services can resume.

Passengers travelling Blue Mountains and Western Line will experience lengthy delays and should allow additional travel time.

All resources have been deployed to minimise delays for passengers.

There is no forecast available at this time as to when train services on these lines will resume.
