Blue Mountains Historical Society Tarella Historic Cottage Open Day

November 24 @ 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

$5

On Sunday, 24 November 2024, from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm (last entry at 2.45 pm), the Blue Mountains Historical Society’s Tarella Historic Cottage Museum at 99 Blaxland Rd, Wentworth Falls, will be open for inspection.

Explore our late 19th century holiday cottage and its contents at your leisure and discover how middle class folk lived while staying in the Blue Mountains.

Wander our grounds with their wonderful views looking towards Sydney. Bring a blanket and sit and enjoy a coffee or lunch break in the gardens.

We hope to have the fire burning in the old kitchen. Sometimes scones, damper or even banana bread are cooked on the original stove.

Morning and afternoon teas are available in the Society’s research centre, which is opposite Tarella. You are welcome to inspect the resources the Historical Society offers and talk to Historical Society members about what we do to preserve and tell the stories of the Blue Mountains.

Entry: Adults $5.00; Children $2.00. Morning and afternoon teas available, $5.00.

Please note that this is the last Tarella Open Day for 2024. There will be no Open Day over the Christmas/New Year Period.
