Paluzzano pleads guilty

Former State Penrith MP, Karyn Paluzzano, faces sentencing in August after pleading guilty to charges of rorting parliamentary allowances and lying to ICAC.

Ms Paluzzano faced court this morning and plead guilty to one count of lying to or misleading a public inquiry and two counts of making a false statement to obtain money.

She is to be sentenced in August.

Ms Paluzzano quit her post as the Penrith MP in 2010, in the midst of the ICAC inquiry, resulting in a by-election that saw Liberal Stuart Ayres swept to power.
