A woman has dramatically escaped after being abducted.
Police confirmed this morning that two men have been charged following the alleged assault and abduction of a woman at South Penrith earlier in the week.
On Wednesday, a 32-year-old woman attended licensed premises in Penrith with several friends before meeting up with a man and driving to a house in Ballah Court.
Police have been told that while at the premises the woman became involved in an argument with two men and was assaulted.
During the incident the woman was allegedly punched and kicked to the face, threatened with a baseball bat, handcuffed and also threatened with a knife.
The woman was then allegedly forced to drive around the St Marys area before stopping at a petrol station on the Great Western Highway in Werrington.
While at the petrol station the woman managed to escape from her car and run to police who were nearby informing them about what had occurred.
Police subsequently approached her green Audi and arrested two men, aged 29 and 39.
During a search of the car police also allegedly located several knives.
The pair were taken to Penrith Police Station where they were charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, aggravated indecent assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possess or use prohibited weapon.
Both men were refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
