Police in Sydney’s west have uncovered a stash of suspected stolen property during a raid on a Penrith house.

Police executed a search warrant on the Cox Avenue residence about 11.30am yesterday as part of Operation Countdown – clamping down on break and enter offenders operating within North West Metropolitan Region.

Officers seized a motorbike, numerous laptops, a personal computer and monitor, home entertainment equipment, power tools and a number of top-of-the-range pushbikes.

It’s believed the items, worth about $15,000, were stolen during a spate of break-ins in the Merrylands area.

No one was home at the time of the search warrant and no arrests have so far been made.

Investigations by police are continuing.

Anyone with information that might be of assistance is urged to contact Operation Count Down or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
