A second man has been arrested and charged over an alleged home invasion in Sydney’s west last month.
About 12:30am, Monday, September 26, a group of armed men allegedly forced entry into a home on Holmes Street, Colyton.
Police will allege the men assaulted a number of residents and demanded money and property.
During the incident, an armed man approached police.
A shot was fired and the 19-year-old man suffered a wound to his stomach.
About 4:50pm yesterday, officers attached to Strike Force Gurney and the North West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad arrested a 28-year-old man as he walked along Bringelly Road at Kingswood.
The man was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence and possess prohibited drug.
He has been refused bail and is expected to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
He is the second man to be charged by police following the arrest of a 21-year-old man at a house in Tregear on Wednesday, October 5.
This man was also charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence and his matter is currently before the courts.
Investigations into the home invasion are continuing.
