Elderly pair freed from overturned car at South Penrith

Emergency crews have freed two people trapped in an overturned car at South Penrith.

The accident happened at around 10am this morning on Tania Avenue.

There’s been a significant emergency response with firefighters, police and paramedics attending.

Both occupants, aged in their 70s, are suffering injuries but have been rescued from the vehicle after being trapped for some time.

“They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Nepean Hospital in a serious condition,” a Police spokesperson told the Weekender.
