Motorists are advised that a new red light speed camera will be installed along Mulgoa Road Penrith from Monday, July 24.
The camera will be installed at the intersection of Mulgoa Road and Ransley Street to monitor northbound traffic on Mulgoa Road.
The work will occur over 13 shifts between Monday, July 24 and Monday, August 28, weather permitting.
Day work will be over five shifts between 7am to 5pm.
Night work will occur over eight shifts between Monday, July 24 to Thursday, July 27; Tuesday, August 1 to Thursday, August 3 and Monday, August 7 to Thursday, August 10. Working hours will be between 8pm to 5am.
There will be temporary lanes closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h in place while this work takes place for the safety of our workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
It is not known when the camera will become operational.
