Woolworths St Clair will undergo a deep clean tonight after a person with COVID-19 attended the store last week.
St Clair Shopping Centre has confirmed that the person visited Woolworths between 7.50am and 8.50am on Tuesday, July 27.
NSW Health is yet to list the venue on its exposure site list. However, it is likely to be listed as a ‘casual contact’ venue.
“Woolworths are conducting a deep clean of their store overnight and will enhance existing cleaning and disinfecting regimes,” St Clair Shopping Centre said in a statement.
“Please be assured that the health and safety of our customers, retailers and staff remain our priority. The Centre as a precaution is undertaking a deep clean overnight in the Common Mall area near Woolworths. The Centre will continue frequent cleaning of high touch points.”
Woolworths is expected to be open as planned tomorrow morning.
