The motorist who hit and killed a pedestrian at Leonay last year has been jailed for a minimum of 20 months.
Zak Edward Gaynor, 26, faced Parramatta District Court this morning and was handed a three-year head sentence for the death of Kathleen Young, 63.
The Pemulwuy resident hit Ms Young while driving along River Road about 4.30pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
It was later revealed he was high on ‘ice’ and cannabis at the time.
Tragically, officers arrived at the scene to find the 63-year-old deceased.
Gaynor will be eligible for release on December 27.
